Softwalk Womens Tahiti Sandal Mocha

Softwalk Womens Tahiti Sandal Mocha

I have oddly wide feet: they're only wide in the very center. (I have collapsed arches.) Over the last few months, I went to about 20 different shoe stores looking for a good walking sandal to wear on my trip to Europe. (Yes, I'm a hard core shopper.) I came up "empty-footed" each time. I was hesitant to order shoes online, but I figured that since I could return them for free, I might as well try. Plus, the price for these was very reasonable.

The sandals arrived today, and they fit like gloves! They are stylish and would suit a variety of ages, I feel. Not only that, but the 10.5 is my exact shoe size. I am so happy to have found a shoe company that understands the shape of my foot!

I am a little concerned about the two side straps, but I am taking a sewing kit with me just in case. I will update my review after my trip on whether or not they held up.

  1. I love the style and comfort of these sandals! I bought a half-size larger to ensure my long 2nd toe (ugh!) didn't overlap the edge of the sandal! I love these sandals!

  2. Excellent shoe if you need something dressy but don't want to or can't wear high heals. The "mocha" color is a nice rich chocolate brown. The metal accents are a brushed dull gold color - not a bright gold. The shoes are easy to put on and take off, and are very comfortable - basically a walking shoe masquerading (quite well) as a dress shoe.

  3. I bought these sandals right before going on vacation where I would be doing a lot of walking. From Day One, they were incredibly comfortable and I wore them every day! Not only were they a fantastic fit, but this sandal proves you don't have to give up style for comfort.

  4. Looks and feels great - has held up well to lots of use and abuse. Keep in mind- they run big- wish I would have got 1/2 size smaller.

  6. This is my second pair of Softwalk sandals. Because I wear the difficult size of 12N, my shoe choices are limited. I'm so glad that Softwalk makes shoes in my size. These are cute, true to size and can be worn all day the 1st day.

  7. I bought my first pair of Softwalk sandal last year and loved it. This year the Tahiti Gladiator sandals seemed to be build on the same model as my first pair.

I would have preferred a bronze color and was a bit worried about the gold being gaudy but it is not, the color is fine and can be worn with warm or cool colors - so it is quite versatile.

Just what I was looking for: cushioned sole, comfortable ankle strap, a bit of height (could be a bit more), good workmanship.

Softwalk is now on my radar.

  8. I've been looking for a sandal that looks good and doesn't kill my plantar-these are it! I tried to order more through Amazon, but my size was not available in the styles I wanted.

  9. I have my own cleaning business and I'm on my feet all day. Recently we were going on vacation and I needed a sandal with some support and definetely comfort for my tired old feet. A catalogue of mine had suggested this sandal. Well, I decided to go out on a limb, spend the extra money and try them. Much to my surprise, they are worth every last penny. We walked and walked all over the resort and I didn't even need to brake them in. I would recommend this sandal to anyone, especially those with problem feet.
