Above Quality Sandal

KEEN Newport Sandal Toddler Navy

KEEN Newport Sandal Toddler Navy

This is my second pair of Papillio sandals with a Birkenstock foot bed. They are the most comfy sandals I've ever owned. My first pair are, well, well worn (bought in 2008), still totally wearable and functional, but I've worn them so much that the support in the foot bed has decreased slightly (I actually didn't realize it though, until I got the new pair) and I wear them all the time, everywhere, inside and outside the house so they are kind of, well, filthy. Gross, really. You know the pair of shoes I'm talking about. The default go to slip on's that get worn probably 365 days a year, to get the mail, water the plants, take out the trash, go to the basement and do laundry, run to the store, take the dog out, just walk around the house in, etc. until they are worn to nothing. I wanted a new "clean" pair for only around the house and I am keeping the old pair for outside until I've worn them to their end. Aside from a couple of simple DIY super glue fixes where the foot bed top was separating from the cork (remember, the sandals are 5 years old and I wear them constantly)I've had no problems with them. I LOVE THEM. You will get your money's worth and your feet will be so happy.

bought these for my 21 month old and 4 year old. Both wore them EVERY DAY on a Europe trip with no feet complaints out of either one of them! No pressure spots, no red marks, no sore feet, when worn with or without socks. They never fall off their feet. The velcro has held up well so far, only a month old right now. Love them, and would buy them again.
I had to buy them a full size bigger than what they wore in their other shoes, for both the 21 month old and the 4 year old. the little kid sizes are kind of hard to put on, so my 4 year old needs a little more help with his shoes than he does with some of his other shoes.

My kids got these shoes last year and I LOVE them! They are perfect for so many activities. I have three small kids and I will continue to buy Keens for them each year. They also come in so many great colors it is difficult to choose which ones to get because they are all wonderful colors.

I got these when the last shoes we got did not have enough ventilation and didn't hold up during rough play. These shoes are great.

I don't know why, but I actually scrolled through all the colors and was able to find one that was much cheaper than the others. If you aren't looking for a specific color I would suggest checking them all out as there is a large selection.

  4. These are the best sandals that I could have purchased. They are functional, stay on, light weight, very durable in the water and on the ground, and are good for crawlers and walkers. People believe that it is ok to buy their kids cheap inferior shoes. What they forget is now it the time to buy them good shoes to help with the developing feet and arches. So spend a little extra and get the best!
These shoes size a little funny. A toddler 6 fits like a 5-5.5 in other shoes.
    Enjoy!!

  5. I got these for my son, and the best thing about these sandals is that they're machine washable. I throw them into a lingerie bag before putting them in the washing machine, and they come out clean and bright again. This color is so cheerful and we have received so many compliments on it. I'm hoping to save them for my next kid. I think they will last for a third kid!

  6. My 2yr old wore these all summer, and is trying to still wear them even though it's freezing outside and he has outgrown them. I finally ordered the next size in two more pairs. Keen is a great quality shoe. My son can wear a pair of shoes out but these have held up nicely! Throw them in the wash and let them air dry and they look almost new again. I suggest going 1/2 size up than what your toddler normally wears in shoes (like 1/2size larger than a stride rite size).

  7. Went on family vacation was exactly what my daughter needed for a sandal/ water shoe. Rinse off and them dry :)

  8. My 17-month old son loves to wear his new sandals. They have a gentle lining that is soft on his feet. They are easy to get on with the loop on the heel of the shoe. He can even help by pushing the strap onto the aplex closure. The are easy to clean and dry quickly. We measured his feet (5.5 inches) and got the size 6, which was not the recommended size according to the chart (size 7). He has been in 5 1/2 size recently so I couldn't see bumping him up to a 7. The 6 fits with plenty of growing room and space for socks if we want. The size chart is an Amazon generic one, not a Keen chart. All-in-all we love the sandals. We even got a pair for his twin sister, in the Raya Lilac Sachet.
